For government
Hexi runs on your machines, with models in your own cloud account. Hex Infrastructure hosts no data and sits in no data path.
Hexi, government profile
Hexi is built by Hex Infrastructure. It is desktop software on your machines, and one policy key turns on its government profile.
- Locked to your GovCloud
- One policy key locks Hexi to Amazon Bedrock in your own AWS GovCloud account, over FIPS endpoints. Hexi’s own tools and background traffic are held except the model route; commands run in the shell and MCP servers the policy allows are not.
- Authorized models only
- Claude, and NVIDIA Nemotron. AWS lists Amazon Bedrock in AWS GovCloud (US) under FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Levels 4 and 5. Those are AWS’s authorizations for AWS’s service, not Hexi’s: Hexi is desktop software on your machines, and the model runs in your account.
- Fails closed
- The policy file fails closed. What it does not allow, Hexi does not do, and no user can loosen it.
- Private routing
- Requests go to U.S. hosts only.
- A safeguard before sending
- A message or picture you send that holds what looks like a password, key or card number is stopped before it is sent. What Hexi’s tools read is not checked this way; only files named as secrets are refused.
- Hidden characters stripped
- Hidden characters are stripped from what Hexi reads, against prompt injection.
- Model origin
- A rule in the code refuses models from developers in countries of concern.
- AI bill of materials
- The models Hexi ships with or names as options are listed in a CycloneDX AI bill of materials, with their origin, licence and where requests go.
Provenance
- Model origin
- A rule written into the code refuses models from developers in countries of concern. No setting lets a refused model through.
- AI bill of materials
- The models Hexi ships with or names as options are listed in a CycloneDX AI bill of materials, with their origin, licence and where requests go.
- Policy that fails closed
- What the policy does not allow, Hexi does not do, and no user can loosen it.
